Winter semester 2024/2025
MNF-bioc-379 Geomicrobiology of sediments: from sediments to bacteria - turnover rates, enzyme activities and genetics
In this module the students will evaluate data collected during the students Alkor cruise in November. The students will also proceed to work with the samples that have been taken during that cruise. For example they will dive into the iron cycle and learn how to measure different iron species. In addition, students will learn how to access the hidden uncultured microbial majority by constructing a metagenomic library.
